Cleaning Up

Let's be honest: there are a lot of things I don't like about doing art fairs. But one of the things I don't like is keeping everything clean.

I could keep things cleaner by putting more things behind glass or acrylic barriers, but since I'm not ready to invest in or cart around all that display equipment, I'm stuck with the fact that some potential customers touch everything. EVERY. THING. It's kind of annoying, but mostly when it comes time to clean it all. There are the pendants on chains, there are the pendants not on chains, there are the earrings and rings and all the other things (I rhymed, did you get it?). I've gotten a little better at keeping things organized so I know what's been out (and potentially pawed) (I alliterated, did you get it?).

But let's be honest, again: the real problem is my lack of organization. Turns out, I just sold a pendant through my Etsy shop that I'd been displaying at all the shows. Oops. Good thing I didn't sell it twice!

So along with cleaning all the things that weren't on chains, I spent quite a bit of time today organizing myself. Again.

Frankly, I'll be glad when this season's shows are over, so at least I won't have to clean everything all the time.
