What with the economy being bad for so long, especially in Michigan, plus the long, colder-than-normal Winter we're experiencing here, I've been pretty quiet for awhile now. But Winter can't last forever, and neither can double-digit unemployment. We hope. So I've decided to start writing here more.
I have been keeping busy. I had two rings in the Instructor/Student Show at the
Ann Arbor Art Center, November 19, 2010 through January 2, 2011. Click the photos for bigger versions.
I participated in the
Art House Co-op's "
The Sketchbook Project: 2011." This proved to me that I need to get back to drawing! The web site is a little hard to follow. You should be able to find
a few of my pages there, or you can see
my whole book on my Flickr site.
In additional ring news, I am participating in the Flickr group
Ring a Week 2011 — which is much easier than last year's "ring a day" challenge! You can see
my rings on my Flickr site.
And in additional drawing news, I'm participating in the Flickr group
Bird a Week 2011. I've pretty much just decided to try this out, as a way to keep drawing. You can see
my contributions on my Flickr site — so far most are "borrowed" from other projects, but that will change. I might be starting another drawing project, but nothing's decided yet.
Finally, I've slowly been adding items to
my Etsy shop. One of my favorites is
this pair of earrings — fun to make and easy to photograph. Maybe it's the copper that's easier on the camera lens than shiny silver?
